17th APRU Global Health Conference 2024

The 17th APRU Global Health Conference 2024, co-hosted by Chulalongkorn University and the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), was held from November 4–6, 2024 at the Bhumisiri Building, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. This year’s conference theme, “Harmonizing Human and Planetary Health Through Innovation, AI, and Digital Transformation,” attracted a diverse and engaged audience from around the world. The event provided a dynamic platform for discussing critical global health challenges and exploring innovative solutions. The conference was structured to focus on different aspects of global health each day, fostering in-depth discussions and knowledge-sharing among experts from diverse fields.

Abstract Submissions Journal

Researchers, students, and conference attendees were encouraged to submit abstracts to be presented at the the conference as either an oral or poster presentation, highlighting the incredible range of multidisciplinary interests that intersected with, and had the potential to meaningfully affect, global health equity and sustainability. 

APRU Virtual Case Competition Results

The Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), partnered with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Thai Diabetes Federation and Chulalongkorn University School of Global Health on the challenge theme “Improving Diabetes Care Management through Technological Innovation” for this years virtual case competition, with a total of 108 teams registered from 31 universities in 14 economies (Indonesia, Thailand, China, Canada, Chile, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, the US, Philippines, New Zealand, Mexico, Ecuador, and Singapore).
