Clinical Fellowship Training Program in Craniofacial Surgery
Overview
This comprehensive one-year fellowship is designed for individuals who have completed residency training in plastic surgery or oral and maxillofacial surgery and wish to advance their careers by gaining specialized expertise in craniofacial surgery. Hosted by the Princess Sirindhorn Craniofacial Center at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society, the program is led by a multidisciplinary team of experienced specialists and professors.
Thailand is located in Southeast Asia, a region with unique types and prevalence of craniofacial diseases and deformities compared to other parts of the world. The Princess Sirindhorn Craniofacial Center is the first and only comprehensive specialized center in this region, caring for over 3,000 patients with various diseases and deformities. The center has been providing holistic care—physical, mental, and social—to patients nationwide for many years and employs proactive policies to regularly identify patients in need.
Trainees will become part of a diverse, multidisciplinary care team, participating in every step of the treatment process, including surgeries and procedures throughout the entire year—not just observing. Additionally, they will engage in various academic activities such as journal clubs and craniofacial conferences, gaining knowledge and developing skills in a meaningful way. They will also observe the operations of the leading craniofacial center. Upon completing the fellowship, participants will be well-prepared to assist patients with craniofacial conditions and advance their own departments in the future.
