Research Program
Applied Medical Virology Research Unit
Applied Medical Virology research Unit is founded under the vision of a group of staff who interests in medical virology research. The objective emphasizes on the integration among sciences especially the synthetic chemistry and mechanical engineering for research and development of diagnostics and therapeutics in medical virology. Currently active fields are on 1) drug discovery and development of mosquito-borne viruses (e.g. dengue virus, Zika virus) and 2) R&D of cervical cancer diagnostic kits. Moreover, we also focus on basic research in Virology so as to contribute novel targets for drugs and diagnostics.
Our mission is to “research and develop cost-effective therapeutic and diagnostic methods for those in need”.
