Global Health Security has been the concern that needs shared responsibility of all actors and sectors. A multi-sectoral approach is therefore the key to strengthen both the global capacity and nations’ capacity in dealing with emerging and ongoing health threats.
This is evident by the current cross-border impact of the corona virus infectious disease (COVID-19) outbreak and the fast-moving joint effort in research and development toward the prevention, detection, response and treatment.
The Faculty of Medicine at Chulalongkorn University (MDCU) has been an instrumental institution that plays important roles in helping the communities prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from all health problems and emergencies.
With determination to tackle challenging health issues, a new School of Global Health is established to accelerate research advancement and capacity building, in partnership with institutions from all regions of the globe and international networks and organizations.
Global Health research will be conducted under diverse range of post-graduate programs offered at MDCU. These focused degrees provide both in-depth knowledge and practical application for a well-rounded and functional experience.
